Step on stage before it counts.
Two open projects from the Motion-Emotion-Lab at mdw Vienna. With VRET you practise in a VR headset in front of real juries and in real concert halls. With StageShift you hear your own playing through headphones in the sound of other rooms.
Wearing a VR headset? Open its browser and type:
vret.at/goWorks on Meta Quest and Pico. You only need the controller once to start; after that you navigate with your gaze alone.
VRET
VirtualRealityExposureTraining
Photorealistic 360° recordings of real rooms and people: an entrance audition before professors, an orchestra audition in the Mahler Hall of the Vienna State Opera, a concert at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Musikverein or the Elbphilharmonie.

- Gaze control only, no walking, no jumping
- Three houses: Lab, four-level house, Library
- Play-along videos, jury scenes and breathing at the beach
StageShift
Your own sound. The acoustics of other rooms.

Play, sing or speak live and hear through headphones how a concert hall, a cathedral or a studio responds. Free, no account, fully local on Android, iPhone and iPad.
For the VR tour at home: StageShift adds the room sound that the Augmented Practice Room provides in the lab.
